While Maddock is Rebman, he's rumored to be a hunter, a near match for any wolf in the art of bringing down prey. He raised more than a few eyebrows when he announced his intent to hunt Rae and opened himself to challengers, and even more when he actually managed to catch the trickster and earned the right to become her Mate. He spends much time in Weirmonken, and is quite at home with the Weir and their customs.
